about the founder // mark campbell
As both a consultant and senior executive, I help specialty tour operators and boutique hospitality providers on their journey in building a meaningful, sustainable brand and company culture for which there is no acceptable alternative.
I have over 30 years of marketing, communications and general management experience. My background includes travel and hospitality, consumer packaged goods, and specialty retail.
Prior to founding Cascadia Marketing & Consulting in 2009, I held senior management and CEO positions with Mountain Travel Sobek, Virtuoso, TCS Private Jet Expeditions, and Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. My recent and past clients include Wildland Adventures, Habitat for Humanity, MIR Corp., Global Family Travels, Pure Adventures, Pure North Lodges & Camps, Wild Planet Adventures, Scot Mountain Holidays, and the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA).
During my tenure at Virtuoso, I was a member of the small team that created VAST (Virtuoso Active & Specialty Travel), a unique collection of preferred Virtuoso Partners who focus on adventure and active exploration, cultural experiences, wildlife encounters, specialized modes and styles of travel, as well as adhering to best practices in sustainability.
In 2006, I received the Leaders in Luxury award for the Tour Operator category at the Luxury Travel Expo. I am a member of the Adventure Travel Trade Association and has been a speaker/panelist at ATTA conferences and Virtuoso Travel Week conferences.
In the fall of 2012 I became part-owner and Chief Operating Officer of National Parks Revealed. From 2012 through end of 2017, NPR revenue increased by a factor of 9 and I built the NPR team from 5 to 15. NPR founder Marty Behr and I positioned the company for sale and effective Jan. 2017, NPR was rebranded as Revealed America and acquired by JG Worldwide.
